Whether working in schools or on the national jazz circuit Pat McCarthy and Josie Moon bring enthusiasm and energy to their work, inspiring audiences and children alike to engage with words and music. With an excellent team, including young practitioners Matty Gray and Hetty McCarthy, Grimsby Jazz Projects is an exciting company offering unique workshops and performances which can be tailored to specific settings and needs.
We are very pleased to be able to bring Sail Away to schools in NE Lincs this spring. This work is funded by Arts Council England in partnership with NEL Music Hub, managed by Grimsby Jazz projects. The application process to ACE is fiercely competitive and we are very fortunate to have received their support again for this work.
We are looking forward to a spring of joyful engagement with children and teachers across the primary sector in NE Lincs and to two fabulous days at the Auditorium, March 3rd and 4th when we will be bringing all the work together at the Key Stage 1 Singing Festivals.
We are delighted to have Sue Baker, musician, teacher and former head of the music service as part of our team for this project.
